Job Title: Tax Manager - Automotive
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain and develop strong client relationships on various tax consulting/compliance engagements.
- Manage engagement workflow, team resources, and billing processes.
- Collaborate with other practice units to provide industry knowledge and insights to clients across various sectors.
- Review engagement profitability and handle monthly billing for assigned engagements.
- Oversee the preparation and review of tax returns, providing recommendations for accuracy and tax savings.
- Research and analyze a broad range of tax issues and implications.
- Demonstrate strong analytical skills and proficiency in accounting and tax software.
- Provide leadership, counseling, and career guidance to the engagement team for development and motivation.
- Represent the company and build relationships by attending fundraisers, meetings, charitable events, and professional organizations.
- Participate in internal initiatives promoting company growth, culture, technical tax content development, and technological advancements.
- Stay informed of current and proposed tax legislation, communicate potential impacts to clients, and assist with planning.
Education and Experience Information:
- Required: CPA, ., , or Masters in Taxation.
- Minimum of five years of public accounting experience in tax is required.
- Significant prior experience managing compliance and consulting engagements for clients in the automotive/dealership industry.
- Ability to develop business and foster client relationships.
- Strong leadership, training, and mentoring skills.
- Excellent writing, communication, and tax research skills.
