Job Title: Senior Counsel, Biopharma Solutions & Strategic Sourcing

Job Responsibilities:
The Senior Legal Counsel serves as the primary legal partner to leaders of a division within a business unit, offering guidance on legal issues and risk mitigation strategies. Key responsibilities include:

- Providing exceptional client service by advising division leaders on various legal questions and issues, including contract compliance and confidentiality.
- Drafting initial formats and terms for commercial agreements and delivering these to customers and vendors to initiate negotiations. This involves interfacing with Contract Administration teams to set up contracts.
- Engaging with external parties to negotiate agreement terms, striving to secure the most favorable conditions for the business. This requires a blend of legal knowledge and business acumen to advise business leaders on accepting or rejecting external party terms.
- Reviewing all terms and revisions from external parties and managing the iterations of commercial agreement terms.
- Examining marketing and public relations communications to ensure compliance with all product information and messaging.
- Identifying and liaising with appropriate Legal and Compliance teams when legal issues extend beyond commercial and transaction law, to resolve these issues on behalf of the business.
- Proactively identifying legal risks and providing insights on incorporating risk mitigation into strategic planning as a trusted business partner.
- Acting as a primary liaison and expert on the business in support of the Litigation team when the business engages in litigation.
- Advising business unit leaders on terms, risks, and due diligence during mergers and acquisitions activities.

Education and Experience Information:
- A is required.
- Preferred candidates will have 8-12 years of relevant experience.
- A Bachelor's degree in a related field is also desirable.

Salary Information:
The anticipated salary range for this position is $121,600 - $173,700. The role is bonus eligible. The salary is determined by several factors, including geographical location, relevant education, experience, skills, and an evaluation of internal pay equity.

The position requires advanced knowledge and understanding of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to manage a wide variety of projects. Responsibilities include participating in the development of policies and procedures to achieve specific goals, recommending new practices, processes, metrics, or models, and working on or potentially leading complex projects of large scope that may have significant and long-term impacts. The role demands providing solutions that may set precedents and independently determining methods for completing new projects, with guidance on overall project objectives. Additionally, the role involves mentoring less experienced colleagues.
