Job Title: Tax Manager, Value Chain Alignment
Job Responsibilities:
The Tax Manager in the Value Chain Alignment (VCA) services team is responsible for integrating operational and tax planning, allowing businesses to make strategic decisions on an after-tax basis. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing an understanding of how clients operate, including building work plans and project plans.
- Conducting high-level benefit modeling.
- Creating tailored presentations for various departments (C-Suite, Tax Department, HR, Systems/IT, etc.) to convey information clearly and succinctly.
- Managing projects, including coordination across multiple service lines such as VAT, Customs, and other member firms.
Education and Experience Information:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or another business-related field is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in providing tax planning services or preparing and reviewing client work, with a focus on international taxation.
- Previous experience in Big 4, public accounting, or consulting is preferred.
- Ability to travel up to 25% on average, based on work and client requirements.
- Required to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model, co-locating in person 2-3 days per week.
Certifications and Accreditations:
- One of the following active accreditations is required:
- Licensed CPA in the state of practice/primary office if eligible to sit for the CPA.
- If not CPA eligible: Licensed attorney, Enrolled Agent, or foreign equivalents requiring NSLL and National Tax Talent approval.
- Certain individuals may be eligible for other Tax Technology approved certifications, including but not limited to:
- CBAP - Certified Business Analysis Professional
- Certified SAFe Lean Portfolio Manager
- Certified SAFe Architect
- Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD)
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect
- ITIL Certification
Preferred Skills:
- Experience participating in strategic planning initiatives.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, team environment.
- Strong research, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Strong executive presence.
Salary Information:
The wage range for this role considers various factors such as skill sets, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and other business needs. The disclosed range is $103,320 to $235,170. Compensation decisions are made based on the facts and circumstances of each case, and it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range. You may also be eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program based on individual and organizational performance.
