Job Title: Tax Manager – Construction

Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain and develop strong client relationships on various tax consulting and compliance engagements.
- Manage engagement workflow, engagement team resources, and engagement billing.
- Work as part of a coordinated client service team, collaborating with other practice units to provide industry knowledge and insights to clients across various industries.
- Review engagement profitability and prepare and analyze monthly billing for assigned engagements.
- Review tax returns prepared by staff and make recommendations regarding accuracy and potential tax savings opportunities.
- Research and analyze a wide range of tax issues and implications.
- Demonstrate strong analytical skills and working knowledge of accounting and tax software.
- Provide leadership, counseling, and career guidance to develop and motivate the engagement team.
- Represent the company and build relationships by attending fundraisers, meetings with prospects/bankers, charitable events, professional organizations, etc.
- Participate in internal initiatives that promote company growth, culture, technical tax content development, and technological advances.
- Stay informed of current and proposed tax legislation, communicate potential impacts to clients, and assist with planning.

Education and Experience Information:
- CPA, ., , or Masters in Taxation is required.
- A minimum of five years of public accounting experience in tax is required.
- Significant prior experience managing compliance and consulting engagements for clients in the construction industry.
- Ability to develop business and foster client relationships.
- Strong leadership, training, and mentoring skills.
- Excellent writing, communication, and tax research skills.
