Job Title: Tax Senior Manager - Private Wealth (East Coast Region)
Experience: 8+ years of public accounting experience (at least 3 years in investment management) or equivalent in law firms or industry
Salary Range: $119,490 to $272,090 (based on factors such as skill sets, experience, and location)
Position Summary:
- Seeking a leader and strategic thinker with extensive knowledge in multiple areas of taxation for the role of Tax Senior Manager in our Private Wealth Tax practice.
- Responsible for delivering compliance and consulting services to individual clients and their trusts, estates, family offices, investment vehicles, charitable pursuits, and closely-held business concerns.
- Must have in-depth understanding of AGI & DNI and be able to provide solutions to complex tax issues.
- Will perform high-level reviews of tax research and work papers, as well as lead client meetings on compliance and consulting projects.
- Train, mentor, and supervise new and experienced Tax Consultants and Tax Seniors.
- Involved in marketplace eminence building and pursuits.
Responsibilities:
- Perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model, co-locating in person 2-3 days per week.
- Review partnership and/or trust documents.
- Manage projects, including scheduling, budgeting, client correspondence, and billing.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Excellent research and writing skills.
- Ability to travel up to 25% based on the work, clients, and industries/sectors served.
Qualifications:
Required:
- 8+ years of public accounting experience (at least 3 years in investment management) or equivalent in law firms or industry.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or other business-related field.
- Active accreditation, such as CPA, licensed attorney, enrolled agent, or certifications such as CFA or CFP.
- Ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model.
- Experience reviewing partnership and/or trust documents.
- Experience managing projects.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Excellent research and writing skills.
- Ability to travel up to 25%, on average, based on the work, clients, and industries/sectors served.
Preferred:
- Advanced degree such as MST, MAcc, JD, or LLM.
- Prior Big 4 or large CPA firm experience.
- Knowledge of fund accounting and general ledger accounting.
