**Members Only** is seeking a highly qualified Associate General Counsel to join our premium finance team. This individual will serve as a trusted legal advisor, risk manager, and business partner, maintaining strong relationships with key internal clients. The candidate will also serve as a technical expert in the premium finance line of business, providing legal counsel and advice on a variety of legal matters.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide significant internal client legal support on a day-to-day basis
- Assess legal risk and provide advice to resolve potential legal issues
- Stay up-to-date on legislation, regulations, and case law impacting the premium finance line of business
- Draft and review legal documents such as memoranda, opinions, contracts, and policies
- Conduct legal research and analysis to advise business leaders and stay current on laws and regulations
- Manage litigation, including strategy, court appearances, and communication with outside counsel
- Work closely with legal team to develop legal strategy and provide counsel to senior leadership
- Collaborate with AFCO Secretary on drafting corporate resolutions and board minutes for semi-annual Board Meetings

Qualifications:

- Juris Doctorate degree from an ABA accredited law school and licensed to practice law in good standing
- 8 years of post-bar experience in a law firm, government, and/or corporate settings
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage a heavy workload, meet deadlines, and handle stress effectively
- Able to work autonomously and in a team-oriented environment
- Proficiency in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications:

- 5+ years of experience in the financial industry or a law firm, with a focus on financial institutions (. banks, loan companies)
- Legal experience in insurance and/or bankruptcy
