Job Title: Tax Senior, Investment Management - Private Wealth (West Region Office Locations)
Experience: 3+ years of tax planning or compliance experience
Salary Range: $63,420 to $144,300 (dependent on factors such as skills, experience, and location)
Locations: 8 locations in the West Region (hybrid work model, requiring in-person work 2-3 days per week)

Position Summary:

- Seeking a leader and strategic thinker with extensive knowledge in multiple areas of taxation
- Deliver compliance and consulting services to individual clients, trusts, estates, family offices, investment vehicles, and closely-held businesses
- Provide solutions to complex tax issues and have a strong understanding of AGI & DNI
- Join Deloitte's growing Private Wealth practice

What You'll Do:

- Perform high-level reviews of tax research, work papers, and tax returns for individual, fiduciary, partnership, closely-held corporations, estate, and gift clients
- Prepare for and assist in client meetings related to tax planning and transaction implications
- Work with ultra-affluent clients, including families with multigenerational wealth, entrepreneurs, family offices, and closely-held business owners

The Team:

- Deloitte's Private Wealth team focuses on the specialized needs of the ultra-affluent
- Provide comprehensive and objective wealth transfer planning advice
- Help clients make informed decisions about their personal financial comfort, business and investment needs, family legacy, and charitable giving

Qualifications:

Required:

- Ability to work within a hybrid work model, requiring in-person work 2-3 days per week
- 3+ years of tax planning or compliance experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or other business-related field
- Active accreditation, or willingness to obtain, such as CPA, licensed attorney, enrolled agent, CFA, or CFP
- Ability to travel up to 25% based on work and client needs

Preferred:

- Advanced degree such as MST, MAcc, JD, or LLM
- Prior experience at a Big 4 firm
- Experience reviewing partnership and/or trust documents
- Project management experience, including scheduling, budgeting, and client communication
- Strong technology, research, writing, and communication skills
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to articulate conclusions and risks

Salary Information:

- Wage range for this role takes into account factors such as skills, experience, and location
- Range estimate: $63,420 to $144,300 (not adjusted for geographic differential)
- Compensation decisions are based on individual circumstances and not typical for someone to be hired at the top of the range
