Responsibilities:
- Advise clients on government and commercial contracts involving A&D matters
- Draft legal memoranda, bid protests, REAs and claims, and policy articles and commentary
- Conduct legal research on government contracts, subcontracts, and regulatory requirements at the federal and state level

Skills and Abilities:
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Efficient and effective legal researcher
- Proficient in legal research services
- Sound and independent judgment
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience managing client relationships
- Desire to be involved in business development

Education, Experience, and Training:
- 3+ years of experience in federal government contracts
- Experience with . export controls, including OFAC sanctions
- Space law experience is a plus
- Knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and other agency FAR supplements
- Experience with size protests, teaming agreements, JVs, and subcontracting
- Familiarity with data rights, M&A, compliance, and transactional and litigation support
- Admitted to the State Bar of Michigan or the . Bar, or eligible for admission by anticipated start date
- Portable book of business is a plus
- Experience with government contracting cost issues, government and commercial IP rights, FMS, FMF, security clearances and FOCI, and CFIUS is a plus
