Job Overview:
A prominent law firm is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Finance Associate Attorney to join their dynamic and expanding Private Equity Finance practice. This position requires expertise in borrower-side private credit, acquisition finance, and leveraged finance matters, with a focus on sponsor-side private equity acquisition financings. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing complex financial transactions and providing strategic counsel to clients in high-stakes environments.

Duties:

• Lead and manage borrower-side private credit, acquisition finance, and leveraged finance transactions.
• Advise clients on structuring, negotiating, and executing private equity acquisition financings.
• Draft and review loan agreements, term sheets, credit facilities, and related documentation.
• Coordinate and collaborate with clients, lenders, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient deal execution.
• Provide strategic legal advice on risk management and compliance within the finance sector.
• Mentored and supported junior associates, contributing to the development of the legal team.
• Manage and maintain client relationships while delivering high-quality legal services.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in borrower-side private credit, acquisition finance, or leveraged finance.
• Proven track record in handling sponsor-side private equity acquisition financings.
• Strong experience in structuring, negotiating, and documenting complex financial transactions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on client relations.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in the state of New York.
