Job Responsibilities:
A career in the Financial Services Tax practice within Corporate Tax services at the company provides an opportunity to assist clients in meeting their tax obligations while managing the impact of tax on their business. The role involves advising clients on local and overseas tax affairs, serving as a strategic consultant related to business analysis, managing working capital, and profit sharing for partners. The position includes helping organizations understand pricing implications of goods and services between related parties and providing advice on tax implications of deals. The team assists Financial Services clients in navigating the frequently changing and complex national and international tax environment, which is associated with stringent capital requirements, management of operational tax risks, and tax implications of investing in different jurisdictions. Key responsibilities include:

Education and Experience Information:

- Certification(s) Required: CPA, Member of the Bar, or other tax, technology, or finance-specific credentials may qualify for this opportunity
Preferred Knowledge/Skills:
- Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success in dealing with tax issues facing multinational US companies or publicly traded entities, especially in the areas of tax consulting and tax reporting and compliance.
- Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success as a tax technical professional, researching business and industry trends to develop a point of view to leverage in assisting with proposals, considering opportunities across multiple lines of service.
- Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success with automation & digitization in a professional services environment, including innovating through new and existing technologies and experimenting with digitization solutions.
- Working with large, complex data sets to build models and leverage data visualization tools.
- Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success in pricing, client value, and the negotiation process, including reviewing contracts and finding opportunities to introduce new pricing options.
- Participating in client discussions and meetings actively.
- Communicating a broad range of company services.
- Managing engagements, including preparing concise, accurate documents and balancing project economics management with the occurrence of unanticipated issues.
- Executing corporate planning and compliance, as well as tax accounting and financial reporting, including tax provision preparation, audit, and review with the ability to utilize ASC 740 techniques.
- Demonstrating some technical skills working with tax tools and resources, including tax provision and compliance software such as Corptax, OneSource, or other similar platforms.
- Using research methods, including but not limited to Westlaw, RIA, and CCH.
- Creating a positive environment by monitoring workloads of the team while meeting client expectations and respecting the work-life quality of team members.
- Providing candid, meaningful feedback in a timely manner and keeping leadership informed of progress and issues.
Salary Information:
The salary range for this position is $98,300 - $266,000, with eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus. For roles based in Maryland, this is the listed salary range for this position. Actual compensation within the range will depend on the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable employment laws.
