Key Responsibilities:

- Manage and develop patent portfolios in cell biology, cell and gene therapy, genome editing, and related fields
- Review invention submissions and advise on risk mitigation strategies
- Drive revenue generation through commercial contract and licensing negotiations
- Develop and implement IP strategies to support business goals
- Educate key collaborators to protect company assets
- Participate in IP Department initiatives and encourage collaboration and teamwork

Required Experience and Skills:

- Technical degree in molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry, genetics, or related field
- 6+ years of experience in managing global patent portfolios in relevant fields
- 3+ years of law firm experience
- Registered to practice before the . Patent and Trademark Office
- Licensed to practice law and in good standing in at least one . state

Associate IP Counsel - Protecting Company Assets and Driving Revenue Generation

**Members Only** is seeking an Associate IP Counsel to join their team at one of their 9 locations in Hillsboro, Oregon, North Carolina, or Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact in the fields of cell and gene therapy and cell biology.

In this position, you will work closely with R&D partners and the IP Department to manage and develop patent portfolios in various areas, including cell biology, cell and gene therapy, genome editing, and related fields. You will also have the opportunity to review invention submissions and advise on risk mitigation strategies, as well as drive revenue generation through commercial contract and licensing negotiations. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing and implementing IP strategies to support business goals and educating key collaborators to protect company assets.

To be successful in this role, you will need a technical degree in molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry, genetics, or a related field, as well as 6+ years of experience in managing global patent portfolios in relevant fields. Additionally, you should have 3+ years of law firm experience and be registered to practice before the . Patent and Trademark Office. A license to practice law and good standing in at least one . state is also required.
