Position Overview:

DLA Piper, a leading global law firm, is seeking a highly motivated Junior Corporate/Securities Associate to join our Investment Funds Group in our Raleigh office. The ideal candidate will have experience in equity and capital markets transactions, as well as advising public companies on disclosure, corporate governance, and securities law matters. Experience in the REIT industry is preferred. We are looking for candidates with strong academic backgrounds and immediately transferable skills.

Key Responsibilities:

- Work with the Investment Funds Group on public REIT capital markets
- Provide legal advice and support on disclosure, corporate governance, and securities law matters
- Conduct legal research and analysis
- Draft and review legal documents
- Collaborate with colleagues and work independently
- Communicate effectively with clients, lawyers, and business professionals
- Meet deadlines and produce quality work

Qualifications:

- JD degree
- Licensed to practice in North Carolina or eligible to obtain admission promptly
- 1-2 years of experience in Corporate and Securities law at a big law firm
- Strong analytical and writing skills
- Attention to detail
- Good business judgment
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently
