Job Title: BOB- Associate Project Manager I

Job Responsibilities:
The role of Associate Project Manager I within the Fabrication Engineering Unit, a part of the Quality Assurance/Bureau of Engineering Review and Support, involves performing responsible and difficult project management work under general supervision. Key responsibilities include:
- Monitoring off-site inspections for acceptance and verification during the fabrication of Structural Steel and Prestressed/Precast Concrete bridge components.
- Overseeing inspection agencies during their assignments.
- Reviewing shop drawings, design drawings, weld procedure specifications, and fabrication and repair procedures.
- Evaluating Non-Destructive Testing Procedures and their results.
- Working with various codes and standards including AWS Structural Steel and Bridge Welding Code, the NYSSCM, the NYSPCCM, ASME, and ASTM.
- Traveling to fabrication plants located in various parts of the US and Canada may be required.
Education and Experience Information:
- One year of full-time satisfactory experience in supervising employees performing project management work related to engineering and/or architectural and/or landscape architectural projects, or supervising a construction project valued at $1,000,000 or more.
- A baccalaureate degree in engineering, engineering technology, architecture, landscape architecture, architectural technology, construction, construction management, construction technology, sustainable design, urban planning, urban studies, city planning, transportation planning, business administration, or public administration, and one year of project management experience.
- Alternatively, a four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and five years of relevant experience.
- A combination of college education and experience to make up the equivalent of five years is also acceptable.
- Additional experience in a supervisory capacity or as a project manager for a large and/or complex construction project is required for higher assignment levels.
Salary Information:
The salary range for the position is $74, – $107,.
