Duties:
- Lead and manage complex finance transactions from inception to completion.
- Provide expert legal advice on finance matters, including loan documentation, credit agreements, and related legal documents.
- Draft, review, and negotiate credit agreements and other loan-related documents.
- Conduct due diligence and assess financial risks and opportunities.
- Represent clients effectively in finance transactions, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and protecting their interests.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities and contribute to the firm's growth.
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously while maintaining high responsiveness and attention to detail.
- Collaborate with other legal professionals to address client needs and achieve optimal outcomes.
Requirements:
- 6-15 years of significant experience in finance matters.
- Demonstrated ability to lead transactions in a first chair capacity strongly preferred.
- Comprehensive understanding of lender and borrower side work, loan documentation, and due diligence.
- Proficiency in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating credit agreements and related loan documents.
- Portable book of business preferred.
- Proven business development capabilities with an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Excellent academic credentials.
- Strong ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
- Exceptional attention to detail and outstanding client service skills.
- Admission to the Michigan Bar is required.
