A distinguished law firm in New York City is seeking an accomplished Securities Partner to join its expanding practice. This opportunity is ideal for a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in securities law, corporate finance, or financial services disputes. While a portable book of business is not required, the position offers a clear pathway to developing and managing client relationships, with future opportunities to build a personal book of business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Engagement & Relationship Building – Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, maintaining and fostering long-term professional relationships within the financial sector.
- Securities Law Expertise – Provide sophisticated legal counsel on securities transactions, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance matters.
- Litigation & Risk Management – Advise on securities-related disputes, investigations, and enforcement actions; prior exposure to financial services litigation is a strong advantage.
- Strategic Legal Advisory – Collaborate with corporate clients, financial institutions, and investment firms to structure and negotiate securities offerings and related transactions.
- Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration – Work closely with attorneys across practice areas to deliver comprehensive legal solutions tailored to client needs.
- In-Office Collaboration – Contribute to a dynamic work environment with a requirement to be on-site in the firm's New York City office four days per week.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 8+ years of experience practicing securities law, with a preference for candidates who have worked at a well-respected firm or within a corporate legal department.
- Strong knowledge of SEC regulations, compliance requirements, and financial markets.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex securities transactions and advise on regulatory matters.
- Proven experience in developing and nurturing client relationships.
- Prior involvement in financial services litigation is a plus.
- Admission to the New York State Bar (or eligibility for admission) is required.
Compensation & Benefits:
