Job Overview:
A law firm in San Francisco is seeking an Intake Attorney to join their team. This role involves evaluating potential cases, offering preliminary legal advice, and ensuring clients receive exceptional service from the initial contact through case acceptance. A background in personal injury and medical malpractice law, along with strong interpersonal and organizational skills, is essential.
Duties:
- Conduct thorough intake interviews with potential clients to gather critical case details and assess the viability of legal claims.
- Analyze case information to evaluate its legal strength and provide clients with an initial assessment of their claims.
- Serve as the initial point of contact for potential clients, responding to inquiries with professionalism and empathy.
- Manage the intake process, including scheduling consultations, requesting necessary documentation, and ensuring follow-up communications.
- Collaborate closely with attorneys and staff to facilitate the seamless transition of cases from intake to case handling.
- Maintain organized records in the firm's case management system, documenting all intake activities thoroughly.
- Foster positive client relationships, ensuring a smooth and supportive experience for prospective clients.
Requirements:
- An active member in good standing with the California State Bar.
- Previous experience in personal injury and/or medical malpractice law is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex legal concepts for clients.
- Demonstrated client-centered approach, offering empathy and understanding to individuals in challenging situations.
- Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage high volumes of incoming cases and leads.
- Tech-savvy, including proficiency with case management systems, CRM tools, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong attention to detail for accurate assessments and thorough documentation.
Education:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
