Duties

  • Provide legal advice on labor and employment issues, including counseling on compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Represent clients in employment-related disputes, such as wrongful termination, discrimination, wage and hour claims, and other workplace-related litigation.
  • Draft and review employment agreements, employee handbooks, and policies.
  • Assist clients with restrictive covenant matters, including non-compete and non-solicitation agreements.
  • Advise clients on labor relations, including union-related issues and collective bargaining agreements.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across multiple offices on complex legal matters.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare detailed memoranda and reports.
  • Stay updated on developments in labor and employment law and contribute to the firm’s thought leadership.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of experience in labor and employment law, with a focus on litigation and counseling.
  • Admission to the New York State Bar (required).
  • Admission to the New Jersey State Bar is a plus.
  • Strong academic credentials and excellent legal writing skills.
  • Ability to handle complex legal matters with minimal supervision.
  • Proven track record of effectively managing client relationships and collaborating with a team.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to providing high-quality legal services.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Must be admitted to practice law in New York (required).
  • Admission to the New Jersey State Bar is strongly preferred.
