The Position:

As an Employment Law Litigation Attorney, you will have the opportunity to take the lead on cases and contribute to our efforts in prosecuting all types of employment cases. This role offers a collegial work environment and the chance to work alongside experienced attorneys in a variety of employment law matters.

Responsibilities:

Conduct legal research and analysis to develop case strategies, identify key legal arguments, and assess potential outcomes.
Draft, review, and file legal documents, including complaints, discovery demands/responses, motions, and briefs.
Manage a robust caseload of employment discrimination cases, primarily focused on single plaintiff sexual harassment, race, gender, age, pregnancy, and disability discrimination claims.
Communicate effectively with potential clients during the intake process to recognize potential cases.
Conduct depositions, witness interviews, and client consultations to gather evidence and build a strong case.
Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, settlement conferences, and court proceedings.
Provide legal advice and guidance to clients throughout the litigation process, keeping them informed about case progress and potential outcomes.
Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals within the firm to leverage collective expertise and resources.

Qualifications:

Three to five years+ of federal litigation experience in employment law, civil rights law, police brutality law, or municipal liability law.
Knowledge of federal practice and ability to hit the ground running managing a large caseload.
Firsthand experience in all aspects of lawsuits from initial intake through settlement and/or trial.
Demonstrated interest and skill in legal writing, research, and analysis.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong time management and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
Ability to perform well independently and under pressure in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
Collaborative and collegial approach to work, with a desire to work and learn in a team-based environment.
Commitment to advocating for those who have been deprived of their legal rights in the workplace.
Admitted to the New York and Florida Bar.

Compensation and Benefits:

This is a full-time exempt position with a competitive salary based on experience and skills. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health, vision, and dental insurance, as well as an employer matching retirement contribution.
