Responsibilities: Drafting policies and procedures (privacy policies, privacy statements, incident response plans, vendor contracting templates, etc.). Assisting clients with determining priorities and implementation of privacy and/or cyber governance programs. Offers daily, direct client communications and supervision of paralegals and more junior lawyers. Outstanding opportunity to broaden your horizons through unique engagement with colleagues and clients on a global basis.

Qualification and Experience Qualifications: Certified Information Privacy Professionals are strongly preferred, including the following certifications: CIPP-US, CIPP-EU, and CIPM. Should be licensed to practice law in the relevant state of hire, and be in good standing. 3-6 years’ of practical experience with data privacy, including specific health care privacy experience (such as HIPAA and state sensitive information laws). Industry experience and/or experience drafting privacy and security policies and procedures for compliance with at least several of the following: FTC and State AG best practices (FIPPs), GLBA, HIPAA, CAN-SPAM, COPPA, Cal-OPPA, state breach notification and security laws, US-EU and US-Swiss Privacy Shield. Working understanding of international, federal, state and local privacy and security laws and technologies to support compliance. Has excellent research and organizational skills, as well as strong verbal and written communication abilities. Is a self-starter with the ability to prioritize workload with competing demands. Displays good judgment and works well under pressure. Is capable of enjoying work in a collaborative, congenial environment. Has a proven ability to independently manage matters, or meaningful segments of large/complex matters, and to facilitate pushing projects to completion.
