Summary: Legal Specialist Sr. is a full-time position within the Enterprise Operations job family at Elevance Health. The primary responsibility of this role is to provide legal support services for multiple Medicaid states, enterprise-wide functions, and complex litigation. The position also involves leading support staff and utilizing specialized knowledge specific to the company. The salary range for this position is to per hour, and the company offers a comprehensive benefits package. Key Responsibilities: - Provide legal support services for multiple Medicaid states, enterprise-wide functions, and complex litigation. - Lead support staff and serve as a seasoned resource. - Prepare and evaluate legal documentation for transactions and corporate governance. - Conduct legal research and analysis, and recommend appropriate actions. - Respond to subpoenas, records requests, and inquiries from internal and external sources. - Investigate and resolve complex cases. - Monitor state and federal legislation and make recommendations for changes. - Attend legal proceedings and represent the company. - Optimize solutions and improve practices through business knowledge and technical expertise. - Participate in projects and negotiations. - Enter information into databases or document management systems. - Handle Provider Contracting for Medicaid markets. Minimum Requirements: - Paralegal Certification or an AA/AS/BA/BS in a related field. - Minimum of 10 years of legal or related experience. - Good organizational skills and attention to detail. - Skilled in the use of Excel. Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences: - Experience in Medicaid or other government programs.
