Job Summary:

The Contract Specialist/Sr. Contract Specialist Commercial Ops supports and oversees contracting operations for all functions within the Commercial Operations Department. The primary responsibility is to provide operational contract management for the commercial-focused units of Incyte's North American operations. The incumbent consults and collaborates with attorneys and business contract owners and is responsible for drafting, negotiation, and administration of contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

- Review and negotiate confidentiality agreements, consulting agreements, Master Services Agreements, Statements of Work, and other contract documents.
- Identify and escalate contract terms to contract owners, attorneys, and other stakeholders.
- Track and drive contracts to resolution, including identifying remaining contracting issues and convening meetings to drive efficient decision-making.
- Serve as an expert in Incyte's contract management system and processes.
- Partner with Legal and other colleagues to address and solve day-to-day contracting issues and proactively troubleshoot and implement contract improvements and efficiencies.
- Act as a liaison with counsel and contracting staff at key vendors and other third parties.
- Facilitate privacy, cybersecurity, and anti-corruption assessments for US contracting operations.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, paralegal certificate is a plus.
- Minimum 3-5 years of contracting experience, pharmaceutical industry experience is a plus.
- Experience negotiating agreements, particularly Master Services Agreements and related Statements of Work.
- Strong understanding of business objectives and legal impact of contract provisions.
- Experience with contract management systems preferred.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Motivated to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to adapt to a complex, dynamic organization.
- Appetite for learning new areas as the business evolves.
