Sr. Paralegal, Environmental Health & Safety – Austin, Texas

Tesla – a global leader in sustainable energy and transportation – is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Paralegal to join our legal team in the area of environmental, health and safety (EHS). In this role, you will have the opportunity to work independently and with a team to support the legal department in a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up, maintain, and manage internal files for EHS legal matters, including coordinating with external law firms
• Assist with filings and communications with environmental and occupational health and safety regulatory agencies
• Prepare cover letters and other documents for legal filings and communications
• Obtain and distribute notarizations, legalized documents, and other corporate filings as needed
• Manage EHS legal workflow and track matter metrics

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of relevant experience in a corporate paralegal role, preferably with In-house and/or top-tier law firm experience
• Bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certification preferred, or equivalent experience and evidence of exceptional ability
• Notary certification (or willingness to obtain) a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, Adobe Acrobat, and legal entity management software
• Strong organizational and analytical skills, with excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment
• Must have a positive attitude, be a self-starter, and take pride in work product
