A law firm is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Real Estate Associate Attorney to join its team in Dallas, TX. The ideal candidate will have 4-6 years of experience in real estate financing, lender representation, co-lender/intercreditor agreements, and commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS). This role requires excellent academic credentials, strong communication abilities, and exceptional writing and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent clients in real estate financing transactions, including negotiating and drafting loan documents.
  • Advise and assist lenders on complex financing transactions, including co-lender and intercreditor agreements.
  • Handle transactions involving commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS) and related matters.
  • Provide counsel on loan structuring, collateral documentation, and loan enforcement.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including mortgages, deeds, and security agreements.
  • Conduct due diligence for real estate transactions, including title review and resolving any title-related issues.
  • Collaborate with clients to ensure the smooth execution of real estate transactions and compliance with applicable laws.
  • Manage and support various real estate transactions from inception through closing.
  • Work closely with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to deliver comprehensive legal services.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of real estate laws, industry trends, and regulatory developments.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 4-6 years of experience in real estate financing, lender representation, co-lender/intercreditor agreements, and CMBS.
  • Education: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Bar Admission: Licensed to practice law in Texas, or eligible to waive into the Texas Bar.
  • Academic Credentials: Excellent academic performance is required.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in good standing with the Texas State Bar.

Skills:

  • Strong legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to draft complex loan and real estate transaction documents with precision.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective client interaction.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment.
  • High level of professionalism and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with real estate litigation or property tax matters is a plus.
  • Familiarity with environmental and land use regulations in Texas.
