Are you a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with experience in intellectual property docketing? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a strong understanding of docketing procedures? If so, Armstrong Teasdale LLP is seeking an experienced IP Docket Administrator to join their team in Wilmington.

As an IP Docket Administrator, you will be responsible for managing the docket system to track deadlines and mitigate malpractice. This role will also support foreign docketing processes and have a heavy international focus. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of related experience, with a preference for 3-5 years.

Key responsibilities for this position include:

- Handling and monitoring docket management for filing deadlines, including response dates for attorneys
- Researching current rules and practices and overseeing docketing procedures
- Supervising and providing professional development to other team members within the docketing department
- Generating daily and weekly attorney and client reports as requested
- Working with IT to ensure updates and maintenance to the docketing database system remain current
- Managing and entering data into docketing database systems, generating/routing docket sheets to attorneys and their administrative support
- Reviewing transferred new matters and entering due dates into the docketing system
- Preparing patent application filing requests and transmittals, filing Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) patent applications electronically, and all associated prosecution filings and client correspondence
- Filing foreign applications (via direct or national/regional phase) via foreign patent counsel, and all associated formality requirements and non-substantive actions during foreign prosecution
- Reviewing and approving patent invoices from foreign counsel
- Processing and docketing e-mail requests from attorneys, secretaries, and others
- Reporting correspondence to clients, if necessary
- Downloading and saving pleadings to the firm's internal document management system/case docket and circulating to the case team
- Assisting with conducting Internet research and patent screening searches

In addition, the following education and experience is required for this position:

- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Paralegal or Associate's degree (preferred)
- 2-4 years related experience (required)

This position does not require any licenses or certifications. However, the ideal candidate will have indirect supervisory responsibilities and be comfortable sitting for prolonged periods and working on a computer. Travel is not required for this position.
