  • Advocate before state utility commissions and manage power transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, power sales, and related legal matters.
  • Collaborate with a team to develop legal strategies and courses of action.
  • Effectively manage multiple projects and provide sound legal advice.

Requirements:

  • 4-5 years of energy transactional and/or regulatory litigation and compliance experience preferred.
  • Active Bar license in IL.
  • Strong academic record.
  • Superior interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with a team.
  • Exceptional judgment in complex legal matters.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Bar license in the state of Illinois.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in energy regulatory and compliance matters.
  • In-depth knowledge of state energy regulatory commissions and ISO/RTOs.
