Job Description:

As a Real Estate Transaction Paralegal, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive legal support services to attorneys and other legal professionals. Your duties will include reviewing, analyzing, and summarizing legal documents and cases; preparing and editing a variety of legal writings; organizing and distributing checklists, closing instruction letters, and closing binders; assisting attorneys in preparing for depositions, mediations, and arbitrations; and more.

Requirements:

Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a real estate transaction paralegal;
Bachelor's degree required;
Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel) and Adobe;
Excellent writing, editing, analytical and communication skills;
A self-starter with the ability to multitask at a high level, showing resourcefulness and the ability to problem solve;
Exceptional organizational and follow-up skills with an attention to detail;
Strong work ethic with the ability to manage tasks independently and cooperatively, working with multiple attorneys and legal professionals; and
Professional demeanor, dress and speech essential;
Understanding of commercial and residential real estate purchase and lease transactions a plus;
Experience with title, title insurance, and surveys;
Familiarity with corporate, land use, and creditor bankruptcy a plus.

Job Responsibilities:

Reviews, analyzes, and summarizes legal documents and cases for attorneys;
Helps attorneys with analysis, inspections, investigations, and research as directed;
Prepares and edits a variety of legal writings, including purchase and sale agreements, leases, deeds, loan documents, CC&Rs, etc.;
Organizes and distributes checklists, closing instruction letters and closing binders;
Assist attorneys in preparing for depositions, mediations, and arbitrations;
Reviews commercial and residential lease terms; presents analysis and interpretations of lease provisions to supervising attorneys;
Proofreads work, including correspondence, memoranda, and other legal documents;
Coordinate the daily and weekly tasks of the Transaction Team, ensuring all are completed in a timely manner; and
Provide comprehensive administrative functions including initiating, drafting, editing, and finalizing correspondence, agreements, and/or other materials as part of our new matter checklist.
