# Trusts & Estates Associate at Law Firm

Law firm Barclay Damon LLP is seeking an experienced associate to join its Trusts & Estates Practice Area in the Buffalo office. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year of progressively responsible experience in trusts and estates practice.

## Qualifications

* Strong verbal and written communication, analytical, quantitative (., computational abilities and ability to work with spreadsheets), project management, and executive functioning skills

## Responsibilities

* Support a growing trusts and estates practice representing primarily high-net-worth clients
* Perform transactional work, including drafting wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, and operating and shareholder agreements
* Quantify tax impacts of estate and business succession plans
* Work on estate and trust administration matters, including structuring the administration plan; supervising the preparation of accountings and estate, gift, and fiduciary income tax returns; and addressing procedural and disputed matters
* Develop and maintain relationships with clients, referral sources, and other attorneys within the firm

## Salary Range

The salary range for this position is $105,000 to $145,000. This salary range represents the firm’s good-faith and reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for the position and does not include performance- or merit-based bonuses or other benefits offered by the firm. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s years of experience, qualifications, skill set, and office location.
