Salary Range: $120, - $145, annually

Responsibilities:
As a Litigation Associate, you will handle a caseload involving substantial defense litigation matters, including construction defect, New York labor law, and possibly professional executive and D&O cases. Your responsibilities will include:

- Drafting pleadings, motions, orders, and legal memoranda
- Responding to written discovery and dispositive motions
- Conducting legal research competently and with proficiency
- Preparing for and taking depositions of parties and experts
- Reviewing client documents and drafting case evaluations and status report correspondence
- Reviewing, assessing, and handling matters from inception to trial
- Assisting with and participating in mediations and court appearances
- Directly interacting with clients, claim professionals, opposing counsel, colleagues, and staff

Requirements:
- At least five years of defense litigation experience
- Licensed to practice in New York courts
- Additional state admissions, including New Jersey, preferred
- Proactive and able to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong legal research and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and superb organization and prioritization skills
- Knowledge of both state and federal court procedures
- Proficiency with MS Office, including Excel, Outlook, and navigating the internet
