Law Firm Seeking Experienced Energy & Environmental Associate Attorney with 3-6 Years' Experience

- Bond, Schoeneck & King PLLC, a full-service law firm with over 300 attorneys, is seeking an experienced energy & environmental attorney to join their growing practice.
- This role offers a competitive salary range of $110,000 - $150,000 for qualified candidates.
- The firm has 16 offices located across New York State, as well as in Boston, Kansas City, FL, and NJ.
- The ideal candidate will have a . degree from an accredited law school and be licensed to practice in New York.
- Minimum 3-6 years of experience in all areas of energy and environmental law at a law firm is required.
- Experience with federal and state regulations, SEQRA, permitting, environmental remediation, and enforcement is preferred.
- Candidates with experience in energy matters, particularly siting before the New York State Public Service Commission and the Office of Renewable Energy Siting, are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Negotiation experience in renewable energy projects and land use/zoning is a plus.
- The successful candidate will be a team-oriented, highly motivated individual with excellent research, written, and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities of the Energy & Environmental Associate Attorney

- The Associate will play a key role in the firm's robust environmental and energy practice, with responsibilities including:
- Reviewing and commenting on client submissions to regulatory agencies, such as compliance reports, permit and/or certificate applications, and enforcement documents.
- Conducting due diligence and negotiating environmental provisions in business and real property transactional agreements.
- Negotiating energy agreements, such as renewable leases and energy purchase/sale agreements.
- Participating in New York State Public Service Commission proceedings under Article VII and/or Office of Renewable Energy Siting proceedings under 94-C.
- Providing guidance and strategic considerations to clients regarding environmental and energy matters.
- This is an excellent opportunity for candidates looking to gain extensive experience and have a significant impact in a dynamic and growing practice.

Education and Experience Requirements:

- Licensed to practice in New York with a . degree from an accredited law school.
