Location:

Duties:

  • Manage personal injury cases from initiation through resolution.
  • Evaluate potential claims and provide legal guidance to prospective clients.
  • Represent clients in negotiations and litigations to seek justice and compensation for injuries.
  • Draft, review, and modify legal documents, conduct legal research, and gather relevant evidence.
  • Oversee and update case files and coordinate with support staff to ensure case progress.
  • Negotiate settlement agreements when appropriate to achieve favorable client outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in Illinois and/or Missouri.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in personal injury, wrongful death, Jones Act, and/or FELA litigation.
  • Experience as first or second chair in jury trials.
  • Strong knowledge of personal injury law, tort law, medical terminology, wrongful death, and civil litigation.
  • Excellent skills in legal drafting, research, negotiation, and communication.
  • Fluency in Spanish (verbal and/or written) is preferred.
  • A genuine passion for helping people is a plus.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited institution.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Illinois and/or Missouri.

Skills:

  • Expertise in personal injury law and related areas.
  • Strong trial experience with a proven record of first or second chair responsibilities.
  • Proficient in legal research, drafting, and negotiation.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a client-focused approach.
  • Ability to manage cases independently and work collaboratively with a support team.
  • Fluency in Spanish is advantageous for client communications.
