Senior Trusts & Estates Litigation Attorney Job Summary: The Senior Trusts & Estates Litigation Attorney position is a full-time role based in San Francisco, CA. The salary for this position ranges from $210k to $245k and includes opportunities for career growth and partnership. The ideal candidate for this role must have at least 6 years of recent experience in civil litigation, with a preference for probate and trust litigation experience. The Senior Trusts & Estates Litigation Attorney must also possess strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, as well as excellent research and writing abilities. This is a fast-paced environment that requires the Senior Trusts & Estates Litigation Attorney to be detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage a high-volume caseload. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Review and draft communications, pleadings, and discovery. - Participate in mediations, mandatory settlement conferences, and trials or arbitrations. - Communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, opposing counsel, and court staff. - Develop strategies and tactics in collaboration with others to best suit the client's litigation needs. - Maintain high standards for professionalism, ethics, and work quality. - Conduct legal research using Lexis and Westlaw. - Meet or exceed billable hours requirement. - Work independently and as a team. - Manage their own caseload. - Manage and meet internal and statutory deadlines. Requirements: - Active member of the California State Bar. - Experience with LexisNexis or Westlaw and law firm client management software preferred. - Proficiency in California Rules of Court and local rules. - Knowledge of the California probate and trust administration process preferred, but not required. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat. - Ability to effectively work with support staff. - Client management skills from intake through resolution. - Positive attitude, intellectually curious, dependable, and motivated. - Proficient in MS Office Suite with an emphasis on Word, Excel, and Outlook. - Solid command of English, including excellent spelling, grammar, punctuation, form, and style. - Organized and detail-oriented. - Ability to communicate clearly and work well with a team and individually. - Ability to set goals and mentor others.
