# Mid-Senior Level Private Equity Associate Role at Ice Miller Law Firm
Ice Miller, an AM Law 200 firm, is currently seeking a midlevel or mid-to-senior level private equity attorney to join their New York office. The successful candidate will represent middle market and lower middle market private equity funds, family offices and independent sponsors in their investment strategies, including leveraged buyouts, mergers and acquisitions, structured equity investments, and other strategic transactions.

## Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have:

- Law firm experience with private equity transactions and experience interacting directly with clients
- An undergraduate degree in business
- Been licensed to practice since 2020 or earlier
- Excellent law school and undergraduate credentials and references
- Experience working in a team environment
- Relationship building skills both internally and externally
- Experiences that prepare them to work with attorneys, staff and clients from cultures and backgrounds different from their own
- High motivation and the ability to work independently
- Strong business acumen
- Flexibility to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Excellent written and oral communication and analytical skills

## Responsibilities
The Private Equity Associate will have the following responsibilities:

- Receive training opportunities with growing levels of responsibility
- Gain experience as responsible attorney on M&A transactions
- Collaborate across practice groups and across offices
- Have opportunities for advancement in a collegial environment
- Engage in business development activities
