Duties:

  • Represent clients in complex legal matters, including product liability, employment disputes, premises liability, and catastrophic personal injury defense.
  • Develop and execute litigation strategies, managing case progression and overseeing discovery efforts, including depositions and expert witness preparation.
  • Draft and present motions, legal briefs, and other documents supporting client cases.
  • Lead settlement negotiations and explore alternative dispute resolution strategies when applicable.
  • Advocate on behalf of clients during hearings, motions, and trial proceedings.
  • Provide counsel to clients regarding litigation risks and strategies to secure favorable results.
  • Collaborate with a team of experienced legal professionals, including attorneys and paralegals, to deliver exceptional client service.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years of litigation experience.
  • Proven ability to manage complex cases and meet multiple deadlines effectively.
  • Experience in trial preparation and courtroom advocacy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Exceptional problem-solving capabilities and a results-oriented approach to legal challenges.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in good standing with the State Bar of Michigan.

Skills:

  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Expertise in case management and litigation strategy development.
  • Excellent negotiation and settlement facilitation skills.
  • Ability to present persuasive arguments and maintain composure in high-pressure situations.
