Law Firm Seeking Auto/Transportation Associate Attorney in New York

Overview:
- Lewis Brisbois, a full-service AmLaw 100 firm, is actively seeking an attorney to join its Auto/Transportation Practice in New York
- Ideal candidate will have 2-7 years of experience in Auto and Transportation cases
- Must be admitted to the New York State Bar

Responsibilities:
- Handle all phases of insurance defense litigation, including case management, motion practice, and discovery
- Conduct hearings, depositions, arbitrations, and trials
- Represent clients in the trucking industry, including freight carriers, transportation brokers, and truck insurers
- Deal with issues such as negligent hiring and retention, hours of service, and DOT compliance
- Draft and respond to discovery and initial pleadings
- Argue motions and take/defend depositions
- Manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications:
- Must have strong research and writing skills
- Admission to the New York State Bar is required
- Comfortable with drafting and responding to discovery and initial pleadings, arguing motions, and taking/defending depositions
- Strong writing and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Salary:
- Minimum salary: USD $115,
