Advice to law firm management:
The paths of career growth are not clearly set out and take significant effort to figure out. Benefits are amazing and pay is quite competitive. Focus on your strengths and you need to be good at networking to excel.
Pros:
We reviewed our cases, had weekly meeting to overview what our past, and next assignments would consist of. Management was very knowledgeable about our day to day assignment. Co-workers were very friendly and helpful. Overall a great place to work.
Cons:
Internal politics and favoritism hinders the organization. Those who are friends or friends of friends etc. with upper management usually get ahead over qualified people. So, I would say limited promotional opportunities.

Advice to law firm management:
It is beyond repair. I honestly believe it is beyond repair. When the LA office burn down, I actually thought for the first time in a long time there might be a just God.
Pros:
If you receive no other offer and your children are starving, take the job and then starting looking for opportunities outside the law firm private sector.
Cons:
Came in as senior partner. Treated like dirt. It is pretty clear I was brought in solely as an effort to access my book of business. The firm had another partner call all of my clients in an effort to recruit them away from me on my departure to another firm. Then the firm charged each client for the recruiting call. Unbelievable. Morale very low there. Am convinced that one of the firm's senior managing partners is seriously mentally unbalanced.
