Law Firm is seeking an experienced Lead Case Manager (Paralegal) to join our growing team in Charlotte, NC. This is a full-time position that requires a minimum of 3 years of personal injury case management experience in North Carolina. The ideal candidate must have strong organizational and analytical skills, as well as the ability to effectively communicate and lead a team. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and a Paralegal Certificate is preferred. Prior experience with case management software, such as Needles/Neos, is also preferred. The Lead Case Manager (Paralegal) will be responsible for maintaining effective communication with attorneys, clients, insurance adjusters, and other professionals to discuss assigned cases or projects. This includes demonstrating key performance indicators and driving tasks to completion with minimal supervisory oversight. The candidate will also be responsible for maintaining updated lien and balance information in assigned files, as well as communicating with insurance and health adjusters regarding demand packages, policies, liens, and payment logs. Additional responsibilities include verifying client's insurance coverage and how coverages apply, requesting and reviewing client documents, understanding subrogation and rule 414 payment/adjustments, conducting routine client contact, and directly supervising a pre litigation team. The Lead Case Manager (Paralegal) will also be responsible for completing systematic file reviews, managing file count and rotation, providing consistent support and timely resolution of file issues, completing 1:1 meetings with the team, and ensuring goal and KPI reporting. To be successful in this role, the candidate must have a high degree of drive to move tasks to completion and pay close attention to detail. They must also have a strong understanding of legal language and principles, as well as other related processes. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills are a must, and the candidate must be able to function well in a high-paced environment. They should also enjoy client communication and be responsive and proactive. In return, the Law Firm offers a competitive salary of $60,000 - $67,000 per year, as well as benefits including 3 weeks of paid time off, medical, dental, and vision insurance, and a 401k retirement plan. The candidate must be able to work on-site in Charlotte, NC. Required qualifications for this position include a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 3 years of legal case management experience in personal injury. Preferred qualifications include a Paralegal Certificate and prior experience managing/supervising a team. Experience with case management software, specifically Needles/Neos, is also preferred.
