The law firm is currently seeking a highly motivated and organized Associate Attorney to join our growing team. This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of legal matters and gain valuable experience in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will have recently passed the bar and have 0-3 years of relevant experience, but we are open to considering candidates with more experience as well. As an Associate Attorney, you will be responsible for handling routine negotiations and litigation, as well as other phases of law on various assignments of increasing complexity. You will also have the opportunity to represent clients at legal, administrative, and other proceedings, conduct research and interpret laws, and develop legal opinions for review. In addition, you will be expected to actively promote professionalism, collegiality, and diversity within and outside the Firm, as well as contribute to the financial success of the Firm. We are looking for a candidate who not only possesses strong organizational, writing, and analytical skills, but also acts with the highest ethical standards both as a legal professional and as a member of the Firm. The ideal candidate will also have the ability to effectively communicate and respond to sensitive inquiries or complaints, as well as the ability to calculate figures and amounts and apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. In terms of qualifications, we require a Juris Doctor Degree (.) and 0-3 years or more of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. The candidate must also hold a current, valid state license to practice law in Michigan, and must practice according to the rules of professional conduct and ethical standards as required by the attorney’s licensing state.
