Job Overview:

A growing law firm located in Kensington, MD, is seeking a skilled Litigation/Probate Attorney to join their team. The attorney will be responsible for providing legal representation in a variety of litigation matters, including probate, personal injury, real estate, fiduciary litigation, and corporate law. This role requires a solid understanding of the litigation process and the ability to handle complex cases independently. The ideal candidate should possess strong legal research, drafting, and communication skills.

Location:

Duties:

• Handle a broad spectrum of litigation cases, including probate, personal injury, real estate, fiduciary litigation, collections, and corporate matters.
• Conduct legal research using various legal resources to develop legal arguments and prepare documents.
• Draft and negotiate legal documents, including pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, etc.
• Represent clients in court, managing all aspects of litigation, including depositions, trials, and appeals.
• Collaborate with other legal professionals to assess and understand legal issues involved in each case.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all legal proceedings and communications.
• Provide clients with clear, concise legal advice and guidance.
• Stay informed of changes in laws and regulations, ensuring compliance with legal standards and procedures.

Requirements:

• Experience in litigation (required).
• Experience in legal drafting and negotiation (preferred).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple cases simultaneously.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with other legal professionals.
• Familiarity with legal administrative tasks and client record maintenance.
• Ability to write clear, concise legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Must be admitted to practice law in Maryland.
