Summary:

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior In-House Counsel to join our dynamic legal team. This role will involve collaborating and mentoring the legal and real estate teams, as well as negotiating and reviewing complex legal documents. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 7-10 years of legal experience in commercial real estate and/or M&A at a top-tier law firm or corporate legal department. This is a full-time, remote position with a competitive salary and benefits package.

Responsibilities:

- Negotiate, draft, and review real estate and M&A purchase and sale agreements, easement agreements, ground leases, construction agreements, and loan documents
- Provide legal guidance on acquisitions, financing, joint ventures, development, strategic alliances, and other business arrangements
- Manage workflow for paralegal(s), due diligence specialists, closing coordinators, and outside counsel
- Identify and establish effective and efficient processes for meeting real estate and M&A goals
- Review and approve legal fees for payment
- Monitor and adapt to evolving legislation affecting the company
- Provide day-to-day legal advice and oversight to management, development team members, strategic partners, and governmental officials

Requirements:

- Minimum of 7-10 years of legal experience in commercial real estate and/or M&A at a top-tier law firm or corporate legal department
- Extensive knowledge of commercial property acquisition and development
- Strong organizational and team management skills
- Excellent negotiating and deal-making abilities
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Understanding of legal risks and ability to articulate them to management
- Clean driving record and current driver's license (if tasked with driving)
