A law firm is seeking a Commercial/Residential Landlord-Tenant Attorney in New York City.

Job Overview:

The candidate will handle a variety of complex landlord-tenant matters, including drafting legal documents, negotiating settlements, and representing clients in disputes.

Duties:

• Drafting predicate notices, pleadings, and motions
• Preparing complex settlement agreements
• Taking and defending depositions
• Representing clients in court and at hearings
• Advising clients on landlord-tenant law and related legal matters
• Negotiating with opposing counsel to resolve disputes
• Conducting legal research and staying current on relevant laws and regulations

Requirements:

• 7+ years of landlord-tenant resolution experience
• Strong negotiating skills
• Excellent computer and research skills
• Ability to draft complex legal documents with precision and clarity
• Experience in taking and defending depositions
• Proven track record of effectively managing multiple cases simultaneously

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

Member in good standing of the New York State Bar
