Law Firm is currently seeking a highly qualified and driven Lateral Associate to join our Business Restructuring & Reorganization team in our New York office. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a mix of creditor, debtor, and distressed acquisition cases, with a focus on high profile and top of the capital structure representations. We are looking for someone with a strong academic background, excellent analytical and communication skills, and a passion for restructuring and reorganization work.

The ideal candidate will have graduated in the class of 2016-2020 and have prior experience in the field of restructuring and reorganization. Preference will be given to those with experience in the New York market. As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of cases, including chapter 11 cases, cross-border cases, and out of court restructurings. You will also have the chance to work with a diverse range of clients, including hedge funds, CLOs, private equity funds, and other financial institutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work on a mix of creditor, debtor, and distressed acquisition cases
• Represent high profile clients, including hedge funds, CLOs, private equity funds, and financial institutions
• Handle chapter 11 cases, cross-border cases, and out of court restructurings
• Conduct legal research and draft legal documents
• Participate in client meetings and negotiations
• Collaborate with partners and senior associates on complex cases
• Stay updated on industry developments and trends

Qualifications:

• Class of 2016-2020 law school graduate
• Prior experience in restructuring and reorganization work
• Strong academic background
• Excellent analytical and communication skills
• Detail-oriented and able to work under tight deadlines
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Admitted to the New York Bar or eligible for admission
• Familiarity with bankruptcy laws and procedures

Salary and Benefits:

The annual compensation range for this position is between $310,000 and $435,000, depending on qualifications and other operational considerations.
