Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Commercial Real Estate Attorney to join its growing Commercial Real Estate practice group. This position offers an exciting opportunity for career growth within an established and prestigious firm. The firm serves clients across Maryland, the District of Columbia, and Virginia and is expanding its real estate, lending, business, and transactional law practices.

Location:

  • Bethesda, Maryland

Duties:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate real estate transaction documents, including purchase agreements, loan documents, development agreements, and joint venture agreements.

  • Review and analyze due diligence materials for various types of real estate transactions.

  • Supervise the review of title and survey materials.

  • Draft and review entity governing and authorization documents.

  • Organize and coordinate closings for real estate transactions.

  • Manage client relationships and provide strategic legal advice.

  • Work independently or collaboratively as required by the circumstances.

Requirements:

  • Active member of the Maryland Bar (in good standing). Membership in Virginia and/or . Bar is a plus.

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school with strong academic credentials.

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in commercial real estate transactions.

  • Proven ability to draft, review, and negotiate complex real estate documents.

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and writing skills.

  • Excellent verbal communication and client relationship management skills.

  • Ability to handle multiple transactions from start to finish independently.

  • A driven self-starter with a desire for professional growth.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the Maryland Bar (Required).

  • Membership in the Virginia and/or . Bar (Preferred).

Skills:

  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.

  • Proficient in drafting and negotiating commercial real estate documents.

  • Ability to manage multiple real estate transactions simultaneously.

  • Excellent communication and client management skills.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
