As a Litigation Docket Specialist, you will be responsible for monitoring assigned shared mailboxes and related docket requests, and docketing them in a timely manner according to firm guidelines and procedures. You will report to the Litigation Docket Manager and assist with additional projects within the Docket Team. Your essential job functions will include independently docketing for designated assignment groups, creating and distributing accurate matter reports, researching and applying statutory, agency, court, and individual judges’ rules and practices, and collaborating with the Litigation Docket Manager to continually improve the firm’s docketing best practices, policies, and processes. You will also assist the Docket Team with special projects and stay current with developments, procedures, and rules in courts and agencies within your designated assignment group.

To be considered for this position, you must have a 2-year degree or Paralegal Certificate, with a 4-year degree preferred in a related field. A combination of education and commensurate work experience is also acceptable. You should have at least 3-5 years of litigation docketing experience, with specific experience using CompuLaw Vision preferred. You should also have strong knowledge of California litigation and asbestos practice, as well as the litigation process, court rules, and procedures. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe products, and internet research is required, as well as the ability to adapt to change and balance competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
