Job Title: Medical Malpractice Associate Attorney

Location: New York, NY

Salary Range: $115,000 - $150,000 per year

Job Type: Full-Time

Experience Level: 3+ years of experience in healthcare law

Job Description

As a Medical Malpractice Associate Attorney at Lewis Brisbois, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of challenging and complex cases, representing healthcare providers such as hospitals, physicians, nurses, and more. Our firm handles medical malpractice actions in various areas, including obstetrics, emergency medicine, surgery, cardiology, and more. We are looking for a candidate who is admitted to practice in New York and has experience defending and litigating medical malpractice lawsuits.

Responsibilities

- Draft and respond to discovery and initial pleadings
- Draft and argue motions
- Take and defend depositions
- Manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

- Admitted to practice in New York
- 3+ years of experience representing healthcare providers in state and federal courts and administrative proceedings
- Experience defending and litigating medical malpractice lawsuits preferred
- Strong writing and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
