Gutierrez, Perry & Villarreal (“GPV”) is seeking to hire a Lateral Associate Attorney with 5 plus years of experience in one or more of the following areas: labor & employment, general counsel, and/or litigation.

GPV is a law firm dedicated to providing legal services to local educational agencies in a forward thinking and student-centered manner. We are looking for an individual with a passion for education law, strong legal research and writing skills, and a desire to work in a team environment. The ideal candidate will also have good organizational skills, an ability to think outside of the box, and an ability to delegate work and train associates.

Job Responsibilities:

Provide legal services to local educational agencies
Analyze legal issues, research and draft legal documents
Review and draft contracts
Negotiate and advise on legal matters
Manage a caseload of matters
Prepare for and attend court hearings and mediations
Collaborate with team members and other departments
Mentor and train associates
