Position Description

The Tax & International Law Practice Group of Shutts & Bowen LLP is currently seeking a talented and experienced associate to join their team in the Miami office. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in both domestic and international tax planning and consulting, with a background either in a law firm or in the tax department of an accounting firm. Candidates should hold an . in Taxation or be a licensed certified public accountant, and possess excellent academic credentials with a strong focus on international tax coursework. While bilingual capabilities in English and Spanish are preferred, they are not required for this position.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide legal counsel and guidance to clients on domestic and international tax matters
- Conduct research and analysis on complex tax issues
- Collaborate with other attorneys and professionals within the firm to provide comprehensive solutions to clients
- Draft and review legal documents and agreements
- Represent clients in tax-related disputes and negotiations
- Stay current on relevant tax laws and regulations

Qualifications

- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
- . in Taxation or licensed as a certified public accountant
- Relevant experience in domestic and international tax planning and consulting
- Strong academic credentials with a focus on international tax coursework
- Bilingual capabilities in English and Spanish preferred
