Job Overview:
A detail-oriented Personal Injury Protection (PIP) Attorney is sought to join a fast-paced litigation team. The ideal candidate will manage PIP cases through both pre-litigation and active litigation phases, requiring precision, legal intelligence, and proficiency in complex calculations and strategies.

Location: Quincy, MA

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all PIP cases, ensuring proper execution of demands
  • Conduct thorough reviews of case documents, including demand responses, insurance policies, and payment records
  • Perform calculations related to MRI cases, chiropractic/orthopedic treatments, and hospital bills, adhering to relevant laws and Medicare Fee Schedules
  • Draft and attend motions for various hearings, including Summary Judgment, Dismissal, Compelling Depositions, and Discovery
  • Actively defend against motions for sanctions and manage settlement processes
  • Maintain communication with medical providers and insurance adjusters, providing updates and negotiating settlements
  • Stay updated on current PIP laws, conducting in-depth research as needed
  • Train and guide support staff on accurate case evaluations and calculations
  • Handle intake calls for PIP cases, assessing case acceptance and preparing clients for depositions, mediations, and arbitrations
  • Organize case files for pre-trial conferences, ensuring compliance with judicial requirements

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Active Bar license in Massachusetts
  • Experience in personal injury protection or related fields preferred

Certifications:

  • Active Bar membership
