We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees. # Electrical & Computer Technologies Associate (Boston) Law Firm is looking for a patent prosecution associate with 3-8 years of experience to join our Electrical & Computer Technologies and Biotechnology practice groups in our Boston office. This is an excellent opportunity to work on cutting edge innovations in the field of electrical and computer technologies. ## Responsibilities The Electrical & Computer Technologies Associate will be responsible for: * Interfacing with clients and inventors at all stages of the patent process * Preparing, filing, and prosecuting patent applications in the United States and abroad * Conducting freedom-to-operate, infringement, and patentability analyses * Assisting in other responsibilities or projects, as requested, or needed ## Qualifications The ideal candidate for this position should possess the following qualifications: * A degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, Machine Learning, Mathematics, or a related field of study * Demonstrated understanding of machine learning, molecular biology, and sequencing technology * Familiarity with gene editing, immunology, microscopy, and systems biology is a plus * Graduated with a JD from an ABA-accredited law school * Admitted to the USPTO * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Ability to collaborate and work effectively in team settings ## Salary and Benefits The expected salary range for this position is $240,000 - $370,000 annually. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. This position is eligible for an annual hours-based bonus. Law Firm is an equal opportunity employer.
