Job Description

Baker McKenzie is seeking a Mid-Level to Senior IP Tech Transactions Associate to join our team in either our California (Bay Area strongly preferred), Chicago, or New York office. With over 55 years of experience in the field, our Intellectual Property practice is dedicated to helping clients with the acquisition, protection, enforcement, and exploitation of their IP rights and technology. Our global network of lawyers allows us to efficiently advise clients anywhere in the world, and we have received numerous awards for our outstanding work.

The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in IP Tech Transactions, with a focus on advising clients on the intellectual property, artificial intelligence, data, and technology aspects of corporate and transactional matters. They should also have experience with mergers and acquisitions involving IP and technology heavy targets, IP migrations and reorganizations, and drafting and negotiating trademark, patent, and technology licenses. In addition, experience with AI, telecommunications, supply chain and outsourcing agreements, and other agreements involving data, intellectual property, and technology is highly beneficial.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must have top academic credentials, strong analytical ability, and excellent communication and writing skills. They must also be admitted to and a member in good standing of a . State Bar where they will be practicing. Additionally, we seek candidates who can function well in a global team environment, work closely with in-house counsel, and have the ability to train and supervise junior associates.
