The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in education law, including public, private, and charter schools, as well as higher education.

## Responsibilities

The Education Law Associate will handle a variety of tasks, including:

* Transactional employment work, including advice and counseling
* Student privacy and discipline
* Federal and state regulation
* Special education processes and proceedings
* Review and drafting of school policies and procedures
* Labor relations, bargaining, and grievances
* Litigation and administrative proceedings for schools
* School related business and financing

## Qualifications

* Superior academic credentials
* Excellent writing skills
* Admitted to practice in New York

## Compensation

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of $135,000 - $155,000 annually.
